By Your Name O'Lord, we live

Assalamualaikum warahmatullah. :)

I was thinking of sharing these series of Amr Khaled after I finish watching them altogether. I have been watching them from past months though. Not yet finished. :P

But, out of sudden a thought crossed my mind, what if I die first before finish watching them. And I'm unable to share them to others. That's so devastating.

Allah said, fastabiqul khairat (so strive as in a race in good deeds). :)

So here it is. 

Most of the videos have subtitles. Only 2, or 3 haven't (I'm still on the 16th). Not to be worried about, because the 'Names' are related to each other, you won't missed the Big Aim, insya-Allah.

The muqaddimah, from what I've watched and understand, saying that the Big Aim of this program called 'Bismika Nahya-باسمك-نحيا' (By Your Name O Lord, we live) is Ma'rifatullah.

I was kind of struck when Amr Khaled mentioned, how long we have been living but we don't really know Allah. How many times we've listened to the nasheed Asma Allah al-Husna. Or even memorized all those Noble Names, yet we never understand those names. And these series are recorded in Ramadhan 1427, but not all 99 names. He selected few prominent names to be explained.

Rasulullah even said, Allah has 99 names, so invoke Him by these names. 

I felt so so so left-behind when I got to know about this. To be honest. What a shame on me. Every time I invoke Allah, I only use common names, Ya Rahman Ya Raheem like that. Meanwhile, if we invoke Allah by the names that are closer to our situations or our requests, that will be much more dearer to Him. Just imagine that people call you with the 'names' or 'titles' that you are known for. I mean as you're known as a soft spoken person, and people ask your help to advise people, because you're known for that kind of person. Got it? I'm bad in giving examples. :(

Walillahi mathalul 'ala (Allah is beyond comparison indeed).

Okay. Enough said. Just watch. And let us get to know Our Lord, Allah, better. And you will be overwhelmed by His Mercies and Love. That's what I feel every time I finished one video.
