In the name of Allah. Peace be upon beloved prophet.
We just had a discussion in our 'baituna jannatuna' after Maghrib. Subhanallah, Masya-Allah, Alhamdulillah for this opportunity.
If we all notice, in Juz 27, all surah(suwar) mention about choosing between two choices. Surah Qaf and Surah At-Tur are about choosing path to paradise or hell. Surah al-Waqiah choosing about being the as-sabiqin(the previous or early followers) and ashabul yamin (the righteous followers) or the people rejecting faith. While in Surah ar-Rahman and al-Qamar, choosing between blessings or curses. In Surah an-Najm, either choosing between gaining knowledge through the revelations or through uncertain sources.
And the only surah in Juz 27th not about making choices is Surah al-Hadid. Surah al-Hadid talks about balance. Balance between the world and the hereafter. It talks about us, the ummah muslimin with iron.
And the only surah in Juz 27th not about making choices is Surah al-Hadid. Surah al-Hadid talks about balance. Balance between the world and the hereafter. It talks about us, the ummah muslimin with iron.
And We brought forth iron wherein is mighty power (in matters of war), as well as many benefits for mankind. [57:25]
Unfortunately, if we have a look in our reality, where's the Muslim and the iron. In the meantime, Quran is our main guidance. Where's muslim and where's the technology? Why we were so so left behind the kuffar in technology. Reality bites.
Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) to be affected by Allâh's Reminder (this Qur'ân), and that which has been revealed of the truth, lest they become as those who received the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] before (i.e. Jews and Christians), and the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened? And many of them were Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh). [57:16]
Here, in above verse it is stated that, these people of books choose the worldly pleasure solely. Abandoning the hereafter. Up till their heart were hardened. And Allah called them 'al-Fasiqun'.
In another verse Allah stated;
Then, We sent after them, Our Messengers, and We sent 'Iesa (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary), and gave him the Injeel (Gospel). And We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him, compassion and mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them, but (they sought it) only to please Allâh therewith, but that they did not observe it with the right observance. So We gave those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh). [57:27]
Another category of people of the books, they prefer reclusiveness. Staying in the maabad, living away from the worldly matters. They're not getting married, not even mixing with other people. In the meantime, Allah never asked them to do so. And Allah called them 'al-fasiqun' also.
And Allah said, neither of them is us, the muslims ummah. We're the most well-balanced ummah. Allah shows us that He loves 'balance' and He wants His servants to be balanced either.
He is the First (nothing is before Him) and the Last (nothing is after Him), the Most High (nothing is above Him) and the Most Near (nothing is nearer than Him). And He is the All-Knower of every thing. [57:3]
And is it obligatory for us to keep balance between the worldly matters and worshipping Allah. Or else, we can be called 'al-Fasiqun'.
Indeed We have sent Our Messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Balance (justice) that mankind may keep up justice. And We brought forth iron wherein is mighty power (in matters of war), as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allâh may test who it is that will help Him (His religion), and His Messengers in the unseen. Verily, Allâh is All-Strong, All-Mighty.[57:25]
In the same verse talking about messengers and revelations, Allah stated here about the iron. The iron that can benefits the whole mankind. Showing that Islam doesnt come to teach people about worshiping Allah by prayers, fasting solely. But also, it is obliged for us to be the front liners in technology, knowledge and every-single-tiny-things. This surah also shows that al-Quran is relevant from the prophet's time till our era, till qiamah. Eventhough currently we dont use swords lembing keris meriam anymore, but we still use irons in designing firearms, bombs and aviation technology. Even the smallest part of the computer is made from iron.
But as we all see, currently where are we situated in this kind of merchandise?
Let us ponder upon this bitter fact.
May Allah bring Islam back.
Edited from Khawatir Quraniyyah-Amru Khalid.
Okay, I know I'm a bad tazkirah writer/presenter. Melayu or English, the same. My bad. :( Sorry.
Unlike Amru Khalid, his words are some kind of 'magic'. Talk from heart, and reach the hearts. Thats the only skill I know. ahah :P
